Privacy Policy

Lead Torque LLC ("Lead Torque," "we," "us") operates an AI-powered sales-assistant service that messages used-car buyers over Facebook Messenger and SMS on behalf of independent used-car dealerships. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Our role: service provider to dealerships

Lead Torque is a service provider (data processor) acting on behalf of the dealership you contacted. The dealership is the business you are interacting with and the controller of your information; we process it under the dealership's instructions to operate the AI closer — answering messages, pricing vehicles, and booking visits. This Policy covers Lead Torque's own processing; each dealership may also have its own privacy practices.

Information we collect

To operate the service on a dealership's behalf, we process your name, phone number, email address, Facebook/Messenger ID and public profile name, the content of your messages, your vehicle interest (the cars, budget, and timing you ask about), and related conversation metadata (timestamps, channel, language). For dealership staff and prospects, we also process business contact and account information you provide.

Why we use it

We use this information solely to provide the messaging service to the dealership: to respond to your inquiry, share vehicle and pricing information, schedule visits or calls, follow up, hand off to a human team member, and maintain and improve the service. We do not use your information for our own marketing.

How we share it — and what we never do

We share information with the dealership you contacted, and with the service providers that make the platform work: Meta Platforms (Facebook/Messenger), Twilio (SMS delivery), Vercel (website hosting), Cloudflare (network and secure ingress for our application), and our AI routing provider (OpenRouter), which forwards requests to underlying model providers such as Anthropic — each under contracts that limit use to providing the service. We have configured our accounts so that message content is not used to train AI models or shared for product improvement. Underlying model providers do retain data for limited periods under their standard terms — for example, Anthropic retains inputs and outputs for 30 days — for abuse monitoring and legal compliance, as described in their policies. We may also disclose information where required by law or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal data. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Message and data rates may apply. Text-messaging (SMS) consent and phone numbers are never sold or shared for marketing.

Data retention

We retain conversation and contact data while the dealership relationship is active and for a limited period afterward to provide and support the service, then delete or de-identify it. We may keep certain records longer where required to meet legal, tax, or regulatory obligations or to resolve disputes. You or the dealership may request earlier deletion (see below).

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information and to opt out of communications. To opt out of texts, reply STOP to any message at any time. To request access or deletion, email us at privacy@leadtorque.ai or follow our Data Deletion instructions. We do not sell personal information, including under the California CCPA.

To exercise a right, email us at privacy@leadtorque.ai or use our Data Deletion page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 30 days, with one extension where permitted). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf where the law allows. If we decline a request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or emailing us, and we will inform you of the outcome as required by applicable law.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a minor's information has been provided, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take the security of your information seriously and use measures designed to protect it. These include storage in our own managed PostgreSQL database with encryption of data in transit and at rest, restricted administrative access protected by multi-factor authentication, least-privilege database access, and change controls on our software. We maintain an incident-response process and will notify affected parties of a data breach as required by applicable law. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have a security concern, contact us at security@leadtorque.ai.
